Existing Protection Line

Creation Mode: Draw Line on Terrain

Purpose and Effect: This action enables you to mark primary protection measures that already exist in the terrain data, which are either natural dikes or mobile walls. To mark such existing protection measures, use this action to draw a line along them. After these structures have been marked, local levee failures can be evaluated by applying breaches with the Breach action.

Hint: In the Simulation Settings Panel under Barriers: Existing Protection Lines you can configure what the existing protection lines represent: walls, dikes or both. Existing protection lines can also be loaded from a file via these settings.
