Creation Mode: Draw Line on Terrain

Purpose and Effect: This feature enables users to manually define river axis lines for rivers that are either missing or inaccurately represented in the imported river line shapes. A river axis line represents the thalweg (the deepest part of the river channel) and facilitates the following functionalities:

• Automatic positioning of inflows and outflows at the intersection of the river axis line and the simulation domain boundary.
• Derivation of an initial state from inflows and outflows.
• Estimation of the energy slope from the river line, used to compute rating curves for outflows.
